A Conversation with Frosty

Frosty has taken up residence on Moose Pond to raise funds for the Bridgton Community Center.  He consented to an interview:

How did you pick Moose Pond for your home?

I enjoy watching the traffic go by on Route 302.  The Bridgton Community Center called and asked for my help.  They are doing good things.  Raising and dispersing fuel assistance funds for Bridgton and Harrison is one.  Believe me I know how cold It's been this winter.  Living outside this winter has been great for me.  All the Snow and cold is what I love.  Not everyone appreciates the cold and snow though.

What do you think of your web page on BridgtonCommunityCenter.org?

It's of embarrassing.  They have a picture of me with out my pants.  At least Nelle Ely gave me a pair of pants before I moved to Moose pond.

Why did you decide to help the Community Center?

I looked at all the programs they sponsor like the senior transportation program, the farmers market, classes, meetings, meals, and many others.  They deserved my support.  I want to ask all of you to help out and purchase an ICE OUT ticket.  The nice people at Hayes True Value, Little Mountain Store, the Bridgton Chamber, and the Community Center are selling tickets for $2.00.  The winner will get half the funds collected.

Can you tell us when ICE OUT will happen?

Well with my connection to the snow and ice I do know.  I can't tell.  It would give you an advantage.  the Bridgton Community Center web site has a graph and all sorts of statistics about ICE OUT dates that was provided By David MacFarland.  Feel free to use that info.  The Community Center will sell you tickets for more than one date to help your chances.  Of course the winner will be drawn from all the correct tickets.  If you know the date like I do you can buy tickets only for the winning date to increase your chances.

Are you buying any tickets?

No.  Since I know the date I have too much of an advantage.  I will try to keep you informed.  If you are ice fishing or just going by, stop and take a photo and send it to the Community Center.  I will get them posted to my web page and it may be used the next time I'm interviewed.  Maybe I can get them to replace my picture without pants. Lastly I want to thank Steve Collins for the nice photo.
